About Us
I was trained as a portrait photographer in 1968 in Alexandria, Virginia by the lovely Sandra Lewis just outside of Washington D.C. Then in 1969 I began to work with a wonderful photographer, Robert Gavenis, and learned the art of outdoor candid photography.
I have done some kind of work in the industry ever since. I have managed several studios in the Washington D.C. area, worked as a newspaper, horseshow, real estate, industrial and wedding photographer. In 1991 I opened my own studio, Sweet Memories, in Pilot Knob, Missouri. In 1995 I remarried and moved to St Louis and did a lot of freelance work in weddings and business photography. I also worked part time in a photo lab and found the other side of the business a perfect training ground to progress to the next step, the art of digital imaging.
I am so blessed to be living the life of a professional photographer in the wonderful and beautiful Arcadia Valley.
